I joined MinterEllison in 2018 as a trainee solicitor and completed my training in the Hong Kong office.  Prior to joining MinterEllison, I graduated with a degree in the Bachelor of Laws and obtained my Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong.  I am fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Career Highlights

Commercial Litigation

• Acted for a Hong Kong company in a winding-up petition against Hsin Chong Construction Company Limited and its subsequent assignment of debt to a finance company.
• Assisted in acting for a Singaporean company and a Hong Kong company respectively in commencing civil actions in the District Court (including garnishee proceedings) to recover stolen funds as a result of a series of email fraud.

Construction

• Acted for a Hong Kong company in an arbitration against its contractor for the recovery of millions of outstanding sub-contractor’s fee.
• Assisted a well-known construction firm in defending debt recovery proceedings against its sub-contractor.

Competition

• Acted for Competition Commission in cartel proceedings against Quantr Ltd and Cheung Man Kit (CTEA 1/2020).

Insurance

• Advised a well-known virtual insurer on compliance matters relating to virtual insurance and digital distribution.
